For most properties built pre 1975, a modern raised boarding system isn’t a viable method due to the lack of headroom. We’ve found lofts in older properties are generally stronger structures, meaning it can be more cost-effective and suitable to install standard loft boarding. The Attic Guys provide traditional systems to enhance your property and allow you to reap the benefits.

Traditional cross boarding still allows the loft insulation to breath, and won’t negatively impact your home’s energy efficiency, in fact, it could promote it! Different base units are added as a foundation and the upper level of boarding is heavier. Stilts are used as a base, rather than a lightweight frame and chipboard is then fixed over the stilts to hold the flooring in place.
